weekend plans gone awry

There were three things that I wanted to do over the weekend: get my car registered in the state of Virginia, visit another church, and explore the area. I accomplished a grand total of zero things on my list. Instead, I managed to get sick, sleep for most of the weekend, and do laundry. No exactly an fun weekend, huh?

When I got home from work on Friday, I was completely exhausted, so I went to bed at 8 and slept until 11 Saturday morning. I wish I could have spread the sleep out over the whole weekend though. Last night I could not sleep to save my live. I seriously lay there with my eyes closed for hours. You know how sometimes if you lay there for long enough you almost trick yourself into believing that you slept some but deep down you know that you haven't slept a wink. Yeah, that was last night. So with the exception of the 1 hour of sleep I got between 6:30 & 7:30 this morning, last night was pretty much sleepless. If I could invest in a off switch for my brain, I totally would.

wow. that will hit you.

see, i love the lazy weekends. they are "deep conditioner for your soul", where you don't need to go anywhere, do anything, worry about anyone. you just relax... :)

sad to hear you didn't get anything accomplished. But I agree with ags, everyone needs a weekend like that every now and then :)

I feel for you. It is maddening and frustrating to lay there, knowing you'll have to struggle through the next day in spite of no sleep.
