Today marks the one-year anniversary of working here. Some days it doesn't feel like it has been that long, and others it feels like it has been much longer than that. At times I still feel like the "new kid" even though I'm not the newest person on faculty anymore. I think I feel that way because I'm definitely still the youngest person here and quite possibly the least settled.
In general...
... I love working with the English faculty
... The foreign languages faculty continually present me with new challenges
... I like most of my colleagues
... There are aspects of this job and university that drive me nuts
... I don't feel challenged by my work, but I would like to be
... It's still a good first job out of grad school
