Spring seems like it is finally here. The weather has been bouncing between 40 degrees and rainy and 70 degrees and sunny for the past couple weeks. I think it has finally settled on being warm and sunny. Spring in Virginia always leaves me with mixed feelings. I look forward to the warm weather, but dread the pollen that comes with the new growth.
For a while I thought that I would luck out this year and not experience the torture of spring allergies, but alas, that was wishful thinking at its finest. My allergies reared their ugly head yesterday, making me increasingly miserable throughout the course of the day. My plan this year was to see if Zyrtec was the wonder-OTC allergy drug that so many people have claimed. For me the answer was a definitive no. I may as well not have taken anything, for the how effective it was. Oh well... I guess I'll have to go for the prescription-strength drugs after all.
On another note - to "celebrate" spring this year, I thought I'd give my blog a face lift. I'm not sure I'll stick with the current background, but maybe I need to let it be for a while to see if it grows on me.
