be my delight

I recently learned about the band Ascend the Hill and heard their version of the song "Be Thou My Vision." The song itself is not new. It's an Old Irish text from the 6th century that wasn't translated into English until 1905. I really love this arrangement of the song. My favorite part though is the bridge, which isn't in the original version. It goes...

Oh God be my everything, be my delight
Be Jesus, my glory, my soul satisfied

I just want to listen to that part of the song over and over again. I've included a link to the song below rather than embedding the clip because there's a bizarre deer head photo that's in the background. I can't look at it because it distracts me from the beauty of the song itself.

This is a great song. I used to sing it with my guitar. I see what you mean about the bridge. :)
A couple weeks ago we did "New Doxology" by Gateway Worship. It has new verses and a chorus that I really like. New Doxology

Actually, on the band's website, there's a link where you can download or purchase the whole album. You can get to the download/purchase options from the link to the band in the post. Their other songs are good too but so far their version of "Be Thou My Vision" is my favorite track on the album

Be Thou My Vision is one of my top favorite hymns (others are O the Deep Deep Love of Jesus and What Wondrous Love is This - guess I'm more somber in my praise these days, and it's not even Lent yet!)
